The lower profile of the 40-L permits the operator to properly co-witness the weapon's front sight on rifles equipped with optical sights. Lower mounting profile, miniaturized windage knob, unique dual aperature, and spring-loaded release mechanism.  The #40™L uses standard A2 rear sight aperatures and has all the features of the standard #40™ series. 

A.R.M.S. #40 L SP (Low Profile/Same Plane)

The #40™L SP is identical to the #40™L but it utilizes a same-plane aperture system that allows the operator to choose between large and small apertures without worrying about them being zeroed to different ranges. The small aperture can be removed if the user desires the larger CQB aperture only.
